Manila Metropolitan Theater Chorus
A free reunion concert of the 1980's batch of Metropolitan Theater Chorus filled the EDSA Shrine Church last night for 2 hours with famous Filipino kundiman, patriotic and religious songs. Their powerful and harmonious chorale voices echoed through the corners to the delight and wonder of their families, friends and EDSA Shrine parishioners. A little revelation to note is than the church rector and vice-rector, Fr. Nilo and Fr. Benjo respectively, were former MET Chorus members themselves.
Zek was often in awe of their vocal powers and singing discipline.

The Money Workshop
On Sunday, we attended at the Mother Care
workshop and we learned about money. First, we listened to teacher Fitz. Second
our activity was to use our money to buy crayons. It costs ten pesos. Third,
teacher Fitz said that we color the picture of a flower to earn money. Then we
learned about needs and wants and we knew that needs are more important than wants.
Next, teacher Fitz said that we put our money
into the piggy bank. Then we went to the bank and deposit our money. Next, we
asked questions to teacher Fitz so we will know what we will do and earn money
too.
Then we reviewed the things we did today and we
won a raffle and we ate snacks. I ate three burgers and that’s the end of our
workshop.

The Wedding
On Sunday, we know that it is the wedding today so we pack up our things and left. We got a long trip to go to the wedding. It took three hours to get there and we arrived just in time.
First, we asked the owner (resort staff) for our
room. Our room number was 210 and it was nice. Then we went to the beach (restaurant area) and
play chess and I brought my magnifying glasses (lens) and I can burn a leaf.
Then we went to the beach and watched the wedding. Later on, we let the (sky)
lanterns fly. My favorite part was flying all those lanterns.
The next day, we rode the boat (motorized banca)
and we went to the other island. We travelled 30 minutes to and from that
place. I got bitten by small jellyfish and I was not afraid to swim in the deep
(Rowin: we have floating vest on ourselves),

Holy Carabao
On Friday, we went to the Holy Carabao and I
have fun in there.
First, our teacher show us the carabao and the
horse. She said that before we do something fun, we all need rules. We listened
and played for a (few) minutes while waiting for the horse and carabao. Then we
saw the carabao (with cart) and horses and we rode them. We rode the carabao
first, then the horse.
Second, we tried to go ziplining and it was an awesome
experience. I also have a photo taken with the tractor and the truck.
Third, we carefully fed the rabbits and guinea
pigs and played with them but we do not go near the other animals. Fourth, we
went fishing. They taught us how to fish and I did catch a fish! Fifth, the
teacher also taught us to ride a boat.
My most exciting activity was the zipline. I was
brave because I got safety gears and I held tight so I did not fall.
My field-trip was an awesome experience and the
farm is vast. And a lot of people inhabit the place because it is cool.

The Lost Eden
On Saturday, we went to the Lost Eden Garden
where there are lots of animals and pets. I played with a parakeet. His name is
Leonardo. His color is white and he is still a baby bird.
First I saw a python that is 19 feet long and it
can eat almost all creatures as a food (Rowin: our tour guide Flora explained
that it eats 1 live chicken every two weeks). Second, I saw a sting-ray. It is
very dangerous it can sting you and get you electrocuted. Third, I saw
butterflies. Before they became butterflies, they were caterpillars. They eat
plants and make a cocoon. Then they become butterflies. Fourth, I saw turtles
that walk very slowly because they have heavy shells that protect them. They
eat all kinds of vegetables. Fifth, I saw a peacock that is a male bird with
beautiful colors. A peahen is the female that has only brown color. And a
peafowl is a group of peacocks and peahen. Sixth, I saw bees. There are three
kinds of bees – queen bee, worker bee and drone bee. They make honey and sip
up the nectar of the flowers.
(Rowin: Lost Eden is a 40 year-old educational park of the Bio-Research facility in Sucat, Paranaque. Zek and Aim both have extra fun looking and interacting with animals especially the rabbits, birds and butterflies)

Tagaytay Visit
The time I woke, I knew that it’s already my
vacation with my family. We rode our car to travel and we were going to
Tagaytay to find the hotel. Mommy got the information, then we checked the
hotel if it is nice. We placed our things in the room.
The next day, we went to Sky Ranch where I
learned to ride a horse and I learned to control the horse. My dad was smiling.

CFA Christmas Party 2013
This morning, I went to the tall building where
the Christmas party start setting the big party. First, they will ask the children
to perform singing or dancing or playing music.
The first performance is the boy that plays the
drum. He is just seven years old and his drumming was cool and nice. Then after
the other performances, we have a little break for fifteen minutes to eat snack.
Then, I met my friend named Bailey and we play with each other.
After the break-time, they started to play a
game. The game is being like a statue. First they make like Mary and Joseph and
the shepherd with the sheep then take a photo. The second act is that they will
pray and eat food but not really to eat and just take a photo also.
Then the children that wears hat dance and put
our stars and presents at the Christmas tree.
Then I play with Bailey again. Before we all
leave, we pray about our fine day and then we say good-bye and go home.
